He's not the type to stand out. In fact, unless you were looking for him, you wouldn't know he was missing at all. But you know us, the shy ones, we can always spot one another.

WHY WE LOVE IT:  Shyness is the most wonderful topic for a picture book to tackle, because it can be the most difficult to talk about with children. It is a beautiful representation about those who fly under the radar, but quietly have so much to offer, a wonderful book for children just starting school. This book is perfect for children who don't like to draw attention to themselves, or have a hard time fitting in with the people around them because they don't like being noticed.
